Professional Experience

  • Led four design and research workstreams in projects with both private and public sector.

    Conducted design and qualitative research activities including research plan development, interviewing, workshop activities, and qualitative analysis.

    Defined participatory strategies to leverage institutional knowledge to improve project outcomes.

  • Conducted qualitative research on VA.gov editors' experiences to develop recommendations and design solutions for content findability and navigation.

    Collaboratively analyzed and synthesized qualitative data to establish a company-wide baseline around perceptions of diversity and inclusion.

    Mentored co-workers to improve their approach to qualitative research and service design.

  • Defined UX strategy and methods in web, service, and research and development projects.

    Facilitated communication between end users, stakeholders, and development teams to ensure a shared understanding of requirements and products' long-term vision.

    Designed digital experience prototypes at various fidelity levels during product design stages.

    Independently and autonomously scoped and crafted new research studies to address key questions for product development and design teams, including co-creation sessions, usability tests, in-depth interviews, and ethnographic research.

    Created visual frameworks - like journey maps, service blueprints, ecosystem maps - to help clarify complex challenges in human behaviors, relationship, worflow and process.

  • Visible Voices: The Journey of Non-Biological Mothers - Despite the increasing diversity in family structures, non-biological mothers often face invisibility and exclusion in social narratives and services tailored to parenting. Through exploratory research, the project seeks to identify and map the diverse experiences and phases these mothers encounter. The creation of an experience map will serve as a visual representation of their journey, intended to inform the development of educational tools and more inclusive services.

    Reiki Your Way - A business pilot Iā€™m designing to explore different formats that Reiki offerings can take to increase accessibility to this kind of treatment.
